Brede Tolo Haugland joins the Terravera Foundation
Brede Tolo Haugland
Brede Tolo Haugland joins the Terravera Foundation as a communications associate, working to make sustainability modelling more visible and its findings more accessible, so that businesses navigating the green transition have better tools to understand their own footprint.
Communicating the Logic Behind the Green Transition
Terravera is a non-profit that develops sustainability models to strengthen the decision-making basis for companies engaged in the green transition. Terravera translates complex environmental and operational data into comparable, actionable insights helping organisations understand what their choices actually cost and what alternatives genuinely look like.
"Sustainability reporting without modelling is just storytelling. What businesses really need is a structured way to evaluate their options and make better decisions for the future." - Brede Tolo Haugland.
Too many businesses operate without a clear picture of their actual sustainability footprint, and too few have access to the kind of rigorous, model-based analysis that would let them make better decisions. Haugland believes this is a problem of transparency as much as it is a problem of data. The Terravera Foundation occupies a rare position: analytically serious, academically grounded, and focused precisely on closing this gap. That combination is what drew him to the work. His contribution is on the communication side, making sure the modelling reaches the organization, in a form they can act on.
