We are hiring students for part-time roles in sustainability data-modelling

Would you like practical experience with sustainability in business and the opportunity to work hands-on with both small organisations and some of Norway’s largest companies? Then this could be the right role for you.

Work on real sustainability projects from day one

You will gain practical experience with data-modelling that is directly used by organisations in their decision-making. From your first project, you will work with real data, real clients, and real delivery deadlines, as part of a small project team.

About Terravera Foundation

Terravera helps organisations strengthen their sustainability data and turn it into a solid basis for decisions. This enables our partners to set clear targets, choose effective strategies, and document the results of their actions.

How we work

We work in small, interdisciplinary teams consisting of a Model Lead and a Modeller. Together, the team runs the project from start to finish, from mapping and data collection to modelling and delivery.

We use our own cloud-based tool, Terralight, which gives partners a clear and user-friendly overview of their sustainability data and modelling results.

About the role

As a Modeller, you work closely with our partners and take responsibility for concrete project work that creates value similar to a consultant role. You are involved throughout the project, from understanding the challenge and collecting data to building models and presenting the final results.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience with sustainability data, analytics and modelling

  • Work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and the environment

  • Learn how projects are delivered from start to finish

  • Build relevant professional experience alongside your studies

You will always work in a team together with a Model Lead (project manager).

Examples of projects

Our student modellers have worked on projects for organisations such as:

  • Norwegian — analysis of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), including both costs and emissions

  • Stingray — modelling the environmental impact of the technology

  • Fremtind, Jotun, Lerum, ScaleAQ

This gives you experience across industries, from manufacturing and technology to transport and finance.
