Elisabeth Gisvold in collaboration with Terravera

Terravera strengthens its modelling and strategic advisory capabilities through a collaboration with sustainability leader Elisabeth Gisvold. Bringing extensive experience in sustainable finance, risk analysis, and systems thinking, she will help businesses turn complex sustainability challenges into actionable insight and long-term value creation.

Elisabeth Gisvold, based in Trondheim, Norway, brings deep expertise in finance, risk, and sustainability to help Terravera strengthen its decision-support models and connect sustainability insights with long-term business value.

From Data to Decision Support

Elisabeth Gisvold is driven by a strong commitment to unlocking the opportunities that arise from combining finance and profitability with sustainable development. Through the collaboration, she aims to contribute her network and experience from the financial and business sectors to support the development of solutions that make sustainability more operational, decision-relevant, and value-creating.

“What makes Terravera particularly interesting is the company’s ability to turn data into actual decision support. Sustainability is not just about documenting emissions — it is about how organizations use insights to make smarter decisions, understand risk, and prioritize effectively,” says Gisvold.

The Connection Between Sustainability, Economics, and Competitiveness

Terravera develops models and analyses that connect climate, nature, economics, and value chains. Through data-driven decision support and value chain modelling, they not only highlight climate impact, but also economic consequences, risk, and strategic priorities.

“Reliable data and well-documented analyses are becoming increasingly important for management teams, boards, and investors. If sustainability is to be integrated into corporate governance and financial decision-making, organizations need to understand how sustainability affects competitiveness, profitability, and risk over time,” she says.

System Perspective and Value Chains

Terravera works at both system and value chain level to provide organizations with better insight into the relationship between sustainable transition and monetary value creation.

“We need to become clearer that our models do not only measure climate impact, but also highlight economic consequences and strategic priorities. Elisabeth brings extensive expertise in finance, investments, corporate governance, board work, and risk perspectives, which will be highly valuable as we continue to develop Terravera,” says Tommy Olsen, CEO of Terravera.

Competence in Sustainable Transition

Gisvold brings extensive experience from the financial sector, with leadership roles spanning strategy, risk management, investments, corporate governance, and sustainable transformation.
